ARN puts biogenic CO2 on the market

ARN has been fermenting vegetable, fruit and garden waste from the Nijmegen region since the end of 2012. The fermentation process produces a number of useful products, including green gas, high-quality compost and liquid CO2. This liquid CO2 is used, among other things, in greenhouse horticulture and in cooling applications, through supply to partner OCAP, part of Linde Gas.

Usually, liquid CO2 is the result of fossil combustion processes. Because ARN captures the CO2 from the biogas to green gas treatment process, this CO2 is of biogenic origin. In this way, ARN makes an additional contribution to reducing climate change and stimulating the circular economy.
