Compost with the Keurcompost quality mark is a high-quality soil improver that is rich in stable organic matter. In order to be able to deliver with the Keurcompost quality mark, the criteria laid down in the ‘Assessment Guideline Keurcompost’ must be met. In order to check whether the compost complies with these guidelines, Normec QS, as an audit institution, may carry out the admission audit and follow-up audits.
Compost brings the soil to life. The Keurcompost quality mark meets the strict requirements of the Fertilizers Act and the requirements from the market with regard to agricultural and phytosanitary properties. Among other things, the production method, independent sampling and the use of a calculation tool allow producers to guarantee the quality of the compost.
The Certification Committee of BVOR (Branche vereniging organische residuestoffen) and VA (Vereniging Afvalbedrijven) has recognized Normec QS as an audit institution.
In order to be allowed to use the Keurcompost logo, products undergo a one-off admission audit. If the result is satisfactory, certification will follow. In order to maintain the certification, an annual follow-up audit takes place.
